Class Wikis

 

 

During today's class you will start to create a student accessable class wiki.

Please refer to coolcatteacher for information on what could be on your wiki.

You can also refer to this sample to see how a specific project is documented on a class wiki.

 

Begin by creating a new page and call it(example) dyck_sdl (lowercase type with underscore between words).

Hi all

Last week you were given an assignment (http://ictatgvsd.pbwiki.com/9-12_Class_Wiki) which was to include a student participation component.

Over the next 5 weeks you will be introduced to several tools which could be used to enhance the student participation component. We will also discuss how these tools could be incorporated into your assignment.

As we move through the weeks ahead ,please think about ways to use these tools with students, and how you can incorporate them.

In order to have students access your wiki pages, I have changed the administrator password, but have left the contributor password as "winkler". You and your student will be contributors.

This means that you and your students can safely access, create and edit pages, but not delete pages.

You will also be able to upload files.

April 2 and 16 will be set aside for you to present your wiki pages.
